ASME Standards
A continuously evolving portfolio of active standards across a wide range of topics including pressure technology, power plants, elevators, construction equipment, piping, nuclear components, and many more. Purchased as needed. Please contact the Library if an ASME Standard is required.
ASTM Compass
ASTM Digital Library provides online access to approximately 12,500 standards for testing procedures, specifications, and standard practices for a wide range of materials and topics. ASTM Manuals, Monographs, STPs, Data Series, and Journals Library may also be found in this database.

Select "Standards" from the search box pull-down, and then search by standard number or keyword.

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
Obtain free read-only access to fire, life safety, and electrical codes is permitted by creating an individual account.
UL Standards
Complete read-only digital views of UL electrical product safety standards permitted with free site registration. Click on the "Browse and Buy" button to register.

ASME Y14.5-2018: Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Establishes symbols, rules, definitions, requirements, defaults, and recommended practices for stating and interpreting dimensioning, tolerancing, and related requirements for use on engineering drawings, models defined in digital data files, and related documents. Downloadable in PDF format.
OSHA: Robotics Safety
There are currently no specific OSHA standards for the robotics industry. This website highlights OSHA guidance on recognizing and preventing robot-related hazards.

Provides information on federal standards use and conformity activities.

If you should need a standard that is not available in our collection try these steps:

Search the Web to see if a free or open-access copy exists online.
Submit an interlibrary loan request form. It may be possible to borrow a copy from another library.

Interlibrary Loan
Use this form to request articles and book chapters only. Books may not be requested during the campus closure. If any requests for physical items are received, we will process those requests once WIT reopens.

For physical items already borrowed via Interlibrary Loan, we will proactively request renewals on your behalf as necessary.
