Accessing the Archives Space

Access to the Archives is available upon request with the Archivist on staff. Users cannot access the Archives space without the Archivist present. Donors and representatives from WIT administrative and academic offices may access their collection through contact with the Archivist. Archival materials cannot leave the Archives.

Accessing Archival Material

Accessing Physical Archival Materials

  • Physical access to archival materials must be facilitated by contacting the Archivist. For information on specific materials, visit the Finding Aids page.
  • Some materials are restricted and may not be accessed.

Accessing Digital Archival Materials

  • Users can access digitized archival material through the Digital Collections. Users may access digitized information on site or remotely.
  • Requests for scans of any not-yet digitized archival material should be sent to the Archivist.

Research

The Archivist can provide research assistance in-person or via email. Archival research can include such things as primary source research, Wentworth history inquiries, class research, alumni research, archival citation help, and more. Contact the archivist with specific research inquiries.

Instruction

The Archivist can offer in-class archival research and Wentworth history instruction for in-person classes. Interested faculty should fill out the instruction request form with their class information.
