Meeting Room

The Meeting Room is located on the main level of the library (Beatty Hall, Floor 2), next to Study Room 1. 

The Meeting Room can accommodate seating for 15 people in flexible configurations and can be booked for such uses as: class meetings, special events, departmental meetings, etc. This space can only accomodate one time events. 

Please note: The Meeting Room is not set up for hybrid meetings or classes.

Please note the following booking policies:

Booking the Meeting Room for Academic or Departmental Meetings:

  • Bookings must be made no more than one month in advance of the requested reservation date.
  • We will not book reocurring meetings.

Student Use of the Meeting Room

Students are welcome to use the Meeting Room when it is not otherwise reserved, as long as the room is vacated in anticipation of the arrival of the next party with a reservation. Students may not book the Meeting Room at all on weekdays from 8am-6pm, nor during midterms, reading period, or final exams. Student reservations will be considered for the following time slots: Monday—Friday, 7am-8am; Monday—Thursday after 6pm; and Saturdays and Sundays.

 The Meeting Room is a Collab (C) Zone.

Speaker symbol with green stripes and full volume linesCollab Zone is best for group work, collaboration, and socialization. Phone calls or virtual meetings should be taken in a Study Room. Noise levels are expected to remain at a respectful voume. Collab Zone includes the Main Level, Study Rooms, the Meeting Room, and the Program Room.
