Welcome to Schumann Library: A Guide for New Employees

Databases provide access to journal articles, conference proceedings, reports, news articles, streaming video and other materials.  There are three ways to access databases on the library homepage:

You can access many newspapers (including the Boston Globe,WSJ, and many others) electronically using Proquest U.S. Newstream  or Proquest Central.  Stop by the library to read the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Financial Times, New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal in our cafe area.  

To access the Chronicle of Higher Education newsletters simply Create an Account.  We have an Institute-wide subscription that you can search by clicking The Chronicle of Higher Education.  

Schumann Library provides complimentary access to the New York Times, register for an account by visiting AccessNYT.com.  

Boston Business Journal Subscription includes full-text access to the Boston publication only (no other American City Business Journals). Note: Schumann Library also maintains a print subscription to BBJ, located by the Research Help Desk on the main floor of the Library.

Nexis Uni provides access to over 5000 national and international news sites.
