Institute History

Campus Buildings and Expansion

Baker Hall 

Built in 1971 by Austin Company architects, Baker Hall has always served the Wentworth students as a dormitory. The building was formally designated Baker Hall in 1972. Baker Hall was the Institute’s first brand-new dormitory. The construction signaled a shift in from commuter students to residential students. Baker Hall contained 282 beds.
