Patents and patent applications can be a rich source of inspiration for engineers, whether in finding new solutions or in the improvement of existing methods and technologies.

The best place to learn about American patents and trademarks; the patent and appeals process ; the history of the USPTO; and the enforcement of intellectual property laws.

Standards & Specifications

A standard is a set of specifications for software or hardware. There are several different types of standards so make sure you are clear on which one(s) you want to research. You can search for a standard by title, number, year, etc.
