What is transcription?

Transcription is making a written copy of something else. In this case, it's making a digital written copy of primary source documents, including original correspondence and type-written pages. Your transcription will allow these important collections to be searchable.

Collections

Participants in the Transcribathon will be working on transcribing original correspondence and other primary source materials digitally. The finished products will allow the collections to be fully searched by future scholars and enthusiasts.
