Citing Film, Video, and Television

To cite a movie, you'll generally need the following information:

  1. Director(s): The person or people responsible for the overall creative direction of the movie.
  2. Title of the Movie: The full title, including subtitles if applicable.
  3. Studio or Production Company: The company that produced or distributed the movie.
  4. Year of Release: The year the movie was released.
  5. Format: The medium you viewed the movie on, such as DVD, streaming service, or theatrical release.
  6. Contributors (optional): This could include key actors, producers, or screenwriters, especially if they are relevant to the paper.
