Arab American National Heritage Month

The founders of Arab American Heritage Month, the AAF makes it their mission to educate the public about Arab American history, migration, and contributions to society.

ACCESS hosts four programs that help foster education about the Arab American experience and strengthen and support Arab American communities. These include the Arab American National Museum, Center for Arab American Philanthropy, National Network for Arab American Communities and the organization of Middle Eastern North African (MENA) Communities.

The Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization established in 1994 to provide culturally and linguistically competent, trauma-informed, multigenerational social services to immigrants and refugees.

The Arab American Civic Council is a grassroots organization that builds community by facilitating the civic participation of Arab Americans towards justice and equity.

AABA’s focus since 1974 is the same today and is ingrained in our statement of purpose, which has never changed…to promote charitable, educational, civic, cultural and benevolent endeavors including assistance and support of needy and impoverished people; establish, assist and support homes for the aged, and charitable institutions with emphasis on providing such assistance and support to the needy, elderly, and otherwise deprived who are of Arabic descent but without discrimination as to race, nationality, color or creed and to do any and all other things necessary or desirable to carry out such purposes.

New England Arab American Organization was founded at the request of many New Mainers who came to Maine, fleeing their countries because of war and chaos, to seek safety for their families. NEAAO's goal is to have multiple hubs in different cities of New England to support Arabic-speaking people from many countries. Presently, NEAAO has two locations, in Westbrook and Portland.

The mission of the Center for Arabic Culture (CAC) is to promote Arabic Culture and the Arab-American experience through education and the arts.
