Edwards and Rodgers Hall

  • Built in 1924
  • Architects - Silverman, Brown, and Heenan
  • Edwards and Rodgers Hall is currently apartment dormitories for Wentworth students.
  • Before the building was acquired in 1966, Edwards and Rodgers Hall was an apartment building.

William W. Edwards

William W. Edwards came to Wentworth as an instructor in 1912. He was a graduate of Case Institute of Technology. He founded, nurtured, and guided the Steam and Electric Power Plant Practices Department through many years of change and progress. He retired in 1954.



Leigh J. Rodgers

Leigh J. Rodgers was the first head of the Machine Shop Department at Wentworth. He began his career as the principal of the first public technical school in Columbus, Georgia and then the principal of a high school in Buffalo, New York. He was an able administrator who became a pioneer in machine shop practice by introducing new techniques and methods of instruction at Wentworth.
